Join Jessica Bell, Director of Development at Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island as she shares her personal experiences with philanthropy and the impact she has seen it have on the children, youth and families in our community. Learn simple steps you can take to connect your values to causes you love and explore real-life scenarios of philanthropy in action.
Facilitator Bio: Jessica Bell, Director of Development, Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island, is a passionate fundraising professional who has maintained a keen focus on health related issues affecting children, families and seniors in our community. She has worked extensively with philanthropists across Vancouver Island and before her current role as Director of Development at the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island, she led strategic regional fundraising efforts for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Vancouver Island Office and played a significant role in the $200 million fundraising campaign to build a new hospital. Jessica is well respected in the fundraising community for her professionalism and integrity. Jessica is a member of both the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and the Association of Fundraising Professionals and maintains an active Certified Fund Raising Executive designation. She is the incoming Chair of the 2017 National Philanthropy Day celebrations in Victoria and believes strongly in the impact philanthropy can have in the community.
